Earlier this month I had yet another birthday. Yup, that must mean I'm older. A few friends were able to join me to celebrate the day before at Lebanese Taverna. Chris got me one of the lenses I had sitting on my wish list (there are a few). It's a macro lens. I've been having fun playing with close up shots.
I also changed jobs this month. I know you're thinking "again?" I didn't go far this time. I'm now working for the development team that I've been supporting since I joined AOL back in October. My boss changed, the location of my desk changed, but other than that I'm still working with most of the same people and doing basically the same thing (fixing bugs for now). Does this make me wiser? Probably not. But I am fortunate to be working with some very talented and very smart people. One can always hope some of that smartness might rub off on me.
Now what about this more mature? Yeah, that ain't happening.
And for the other random updates: Cisco's first trial of the year resulted in on Q. We'll be doing a few more in June and July. Hopefully we can get some more Q's and maybe a title or two this year.
I went to the Leesburg Parade with Deb, Wendy, Ryan, and Leyla this morning. It was... different. Nothing all that impressive, there were some bits of creativity, but then there were businesses basically trying to advertise with one or two fourth decorations plastered on their vehicle but mainly I think it was to advertise their business.
There were no horses, no clowns, no men driving tiny cars or motorcycles, no marching bands -- two fife and drum bands, but no hs marching bands.
The parade still resulted in some good pictures. Okay so half are of Leyla, half are of the parade. Again, to see the whole set (143 pics), you need to be my friend. Let me know if you want to be my friend and I'll invite you.
Not a lot of updates recently. My excuse is that I haven't had anything to take pictures of lately and I prefer picture posts to written posts. This might have something to do that my writing skills come no where close to those of the fabulous MzMannerz or DC Sport Chick.
We did a bit of landscaping last weekend. I guess I could take pictures of that. We still need to mulch this weekend, so maybe I'll take pictures after that.
Chris is planning on renting a ladder and handing the new chandilier in our entry way. It's only been sitting on the floor for 4 or 5 months.
Lots of my free time has been taken up by the 12 week challenge. Especially this week. Berkley hasn't been sleeping well so in turn I haven't been sleeping well and I haven't been getting up in time to exercise in the morning, so I've been having to do it after work.
The exercising after work is going to have to change here soon 'cause I have quite a few possible side things about to happen. That's exciting, but I'm going to be short on time in the all come through.
Cisco qualified in three runs at the TAG trial my birthday weekend. He got his first Gamblers and Standard legs. And he also got his 3rd Jumpers leg for his Starter's Jumpers title.
We celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary on the 22nd with dinner out. (Flower's from the "west coast parents" -- which were beautiful.)
Our friend Robyn (who recently moved back from AZ), had a bunch of us over last Saturday for a BBQ. (On what is probably the best weather on a memorial day we've had in I don't know how long.) 
And Tuesday we had new counter tops installed. (We're getting new floors next week!)
